mixed up

I wanted to share a unique and wonderful sight I ran across a couple of years ago. Now, if you are a writer, you may already know about the site. It is called: Word Mixer. I love it. I got two of my characters names from using their word mixer. The character names are unique, no one else has them, and they have no meaning! Sometimes I visit the site to just to play.

Here is the link: http://unique-names.com/

And while I’m talking about words; are you as intrigued as I am with the word verification that is asked of you when you post to a comment to a blog?

It says: Type the characters you see in the picture above.

And you are given some random bunch of letters to put into a box before it will post your comment.

I love it. Some of my favorites have been nemsis, togie, winesiti ( hee hee wine city!) gurial (that could be a name for one of my characters!)

Have you run across any memorable ones?

You are so cute!

Thanks for that site- I've never been there, but I've heard of it, especially with the trend in baby names combining two parents/grandparents/whatever names to make the baby name.

Some of my friends have done that for their kids- Keiric (Keith and Eric, the two grandfathers) and Kaelynn (Karen and Linda, the two grandmothers).

I don't usually remember the word verifications- but sometimes I notice them and think they're funny. This one is restmish. I'll let you know if I come across anything else amusing in my blog travels. :)

I love those names Keiric and Kaelynn! What a great way to honor two people and come up with an original name! Thanks Ajerome!

Great site! Thanks for the tip :-)

I think those word verification boxes are a minor nuisance, but we must do what we must to prevent those spammers :-) My box right now is *fixio* --> pretty cute!

Great site, gzusfreek.

I see those little boxes everywhere, right now the one here says henmulo...that's funny.

I run across some that are actual words, but I can't remember them now. It's funny how random the letters are that can actually form some words. I have the verification boxes, but thanks to the spammers, we gotta have them.

Oh well!

Hey, when you comin' on FaceBook?

The one I'm getting now is "exclog". Ah yes, the clog that got away...LOL! Speaking of name sites, here's one I came across a couple of days ago: What a Lovely Name. You can click on a tag and find names, but what I like is, you can enter your own name, and design a pretty label you can print out and use for whatever.
