OCTOBER 24, 2009
YESTERDAY WAS MY BLOGAVERSERY

One year ago October 24, 2009 -- KM Wilsher's first post!
And look, in celebration,
Merry and Pippin sing me a song about the GREEN DRAGON!

I was there in the crowd. Did you see me next to Gandalf?

Do you have a Tavern in your "Tale In Progress".
What did you name it?

I have a tavern that hasn't yet made it into my book. The "Dew Drop Inn" is owned by Jimladesh Relnd in my book. I figured I had to have at least one tavern, so I made one up. No clue if it'll ever make an appearance. =)
Nice post! That scene in the movie makes me giggle.

Yep--don't think you can have a magical town without a tavern :). Mine's called "The Dreg." Have no idea why--just the first name that popped into my head and I loved it.

La Rosa Blanca...

Hey KM,

Are you really in the video, or were you just trying to see how many times someone would play it over and over :)

Chris~ Love the Dew Drop Inn. They serve up some Barrels of Rain? Or some Liquid Sunshine? Just Kidding. Trying to be creative LOL

The Dreg. . .oh, Kat, great! Very creative. Very Jack Sparrow sounding. Love it! Sounds dark and like a place all the townies hang :)

MS-Hello! La Rosa Blanca-The White Rose. Intriguing! "Play it again, Sam." :0) LIke it!
PS How many times did you play the video before you asked? LOL I get $.50 for every play -- OF COURSE, I AM KIDDNG. :) No room for KM in a Tolkien tale, but on my Blogaversery I can dream ;)

I forgot to mention the tavern in Cobra Cutlass: The Dashing Duck. What do you think? Too Princess Bride?

Thanks for coming by!

Happy Blogaversery!
I usually name taverns/bar with their owners' names. Probably ought to branch out. Hehe.
Have a great weekend!

Well, I've never had a tavern in any of my stories... :(

If I did, maybe I'd call it, "The Toad" or "Toadies"

KM Wilsher said...

Lori, very fitting. I think its just the right thing, naming them after their owner!

Brandon, I like it Toad or Toadies! :)

The Dashing Duck? Well, that one's almost as cutesie as the Dew Drop Inn. lol
My excuse for having that name is that the taver-keeper let his wife name the place. No joke. After I came up with the name I forced myself to explain it. haha
I like Kat's, The Dreg, very cool.
=)

Yeah, Dashing Duck Inn and Tavern. Kinda Princess Bride/cutsy I guess. I may change it.

I like that he let his wife name the Dew Drop Inn :)

And Kat's the Dreg - oh yeah!

Dashing Duck...very nice, KM. Already got a picture in my mind.

LOL. Dashing duck. :-)

I do have one, actually several, in my latest WIP. No name yet, but my main character trashes up a few kicking some demon butt.

Happy Blogversary. I should check and see when mine was. . . I think I'm approaching 500 posts soon.

I forget to check that stuff.

Thanks Lynn and MS. Ya don't think it's too silly - the Dashing Duck.

Can't you see Uncle Tiath-serome chasing the duck to serve to his guest for dinner? rofl!!!

Lynn, maybe you could do another contest to name your tavern :)

Silly is as silly describes and plots, I say. The name is great, whether it's silly or not is left to be seen :)

btw-if you don't want it, I'll take it!
